Is Tim Tebow Really the Fantasy Pick-up of the Year??
Considering my back up was Kyle Orton I would say so, but let's look at the numbers. Tebow's first half game played this year he threw for 80 yards and a touchdown. He also rushed for 38 yards and a touchdown. Tebow had around 19 fantasy points in most leagues in only a half of football which puts him on pace for 38 in a full game. Sounds like a good pick up to me.
Last year Tebow played in nine games and had 11 touchdowns. He also added 654 passing yards and 227 rushing yards. That's an average of 12.7 fantasy points per game. Keep in mind most of the games were not full games. He only averaged 4.5 pass attempts per game played. According to those stats Tebow could be one of the best QB options if he could keep up that pace for a full game.
Tebow will quickly become the number one option on the goal line for the Bronco's, on top of that he will be dumping quite a few passes down to Knowshon Moreno when he gets into trouble. I would pick up Tebow in all leagues based on his potential. He could get you a crucial win in your fantasy playoffs with some time under his belt.
