Colts Want Andrew Luck and Might Get Him

With St. Louis winning yesterday, there are only two teams still defeated for the season.  The Dolphins come in at 0-7 and the Colts at 0-8.  Who will win the race for Andrew Luck?  The only thing that's for sure, is that both fan bases would love to lose all of their games and get Luck with the number one pick over all.

These Colts fans above already had their Andrew Luck jersey's made in preparation for the draft.  I honestly don't disagree with them wanting to get the number one pick, but should they really take Andrew Luck?  They already have the number one QB in the NFL.  I would probably elect to trade the pick for as much as I could get.  Plenty of teams would be willing to trade heaven and earth to get to the number one spot.  The main argument would be that Peyton is 35 and probably only has a couple good years left.  It would definitely be a good place for Luck to get mentored for a couple years before he takes over the team.

Miami seems like the more legit spot for Andrew Luck to land.  He will have no competition there and could start right away which I'm sure he would want.  They have a legit #1 receiver in Brandon Marshall, a legit play maker in Reggie Bush, and a young running back in Daniel Thomas.  The only bad thing is that Miami seems like the team that wants to win more this season, and has a better team than the Colts do.

In my opinion it will be the Colts that get the shot at Luck.  I'm sure they won't be able to pass on a talent like that, so we can get ready to see Andrew Luck ride the pine for a couple years until he gets his shot.  Kinda reminds me of some QB named Aaron Rodgers.  I think his situation worked out pretty well.
