Oakland Athletics Pitcher Craig Breslow Finds Out About His Own Trade on Twitter

Yup, Oakland Athletics pitcher Craig Breslow was traded to the Arizona Diamondbacks on Friday. Breslow appeared in 67 games last year and recorded a 3.79 ERA with a record of 0-2. The team was apparently so into the trade that they forgot to tell him and he found out via a tweet.  What a way to go huh?

Yahoo - The NL West champion D-backs added a front-line starter Friday and boosted
their bullpen, acquiring pitchers Trevor Cahill, Craig Breslow and cash from the
Oakland Athletics. The A’s received starting pitcher Jarrod Parker, outfielder Collin Cowgill
and reliever Ryan Cook in the trade Friday, all players the A’s envision could
be on the major league roster in 2012.

I've definitely heard about players finding out while watching television shows like ESPN, but never social media.  This just shows how quickly people flock to Twitter and Facebook to announce huge updates.  Apparently they run to their phones and tweet before they run to their phones and call the players involved in the trade.  Pretty bad etiquette if you ask me.
