Ryan Braun Might Get Off Steroid Allegations Because of Herpes?

A couple days back it was confirmed that Ryan Braun had tested positive for performance enhancing drugs and could face a 50 game suspension from the MLB.

ESPN - A spokesman for Braun confirmed the positive test Saturday and issued a
statement: "There are highly unusual circumstances surrounding this case
which will support Ryan's complete innocence and demonstrate there was
absolutely no intentional violation of the program. While Ryan has
impeccable character and no previous history, unfortunately, because of
the process we have to maintain confidentiality and are not able to
discuss it any further, but we are confident he will ultimately be
exonerated."

We find out today that his spokesman could have been referring to Braun having herpes when he said "unusualy circumstances."  Via Terez Owens Braun's Herpes medication that was prescribed by his doctor is what caused the spike.  People from within the Brewers organization have confirmed he will be let off based on his positive herpes test.

Granted these are still rumors, but if true it would be a pretty bad way to win an appeal.  Not sure I would want anyone knowing that's why I got off a charge.  I would probably take the 50 game suspension.
