Jared Allen Would Drown Himself in a River If He Had to Live In Detroit
Vikings star Jared Allen really really doesn't like Detroit. The Vikings play the Detroit Lions this weekend in a one o'clock game. Allen joined the "Vikings Country" radio show earlier this week like he does every week. He had a few off the wall things to say like usual. Per the startribune here is what he had to say about Detroit.
"I don’t like going to Detroit,” Allen said. “I’ll be honest. It’s
gloomy, it sucks. Everything is brown and then there is snow on the
ground. There’s like brownstones everywhere and I’m like, ‘Awesome.’ I
don’t know, I couldn’t do it. If I had to live in Detroit, I think I’d
just drown myself in the river that was across the way."
"I’m not trying to be mean," Allen continued, "but it’s just depressing
when I go there. There’s two cities like I don’t go out to eat or don’t
do anything. It’s Detroit and New Orleans. New Orleans looks like I’m
driving through a third-world country. Every time I get off the plane,
I’m like, ‘Oh, flak jacket.’ I’m trying to get down. I’m like, ‘Ah,
crap, I can’t carry my gun here. This sucks.’"
Never been to Detroit before, but after that run down I don't think I will ever go. Allen has been known to exaggerate things in the past so maybe it's not so bad, but who knows. All I know is I could never hate on New Orleans. Ever heard of Mardi Gras bro? Strait best party in the United States. Chicks showing titties for 1 cent beads. Can't go wrong with that.
