I absolutely hate the word interim. Why not just call it the number one contender fight? Dana White has confirmed via twitter that Georges St-Pierre has blown his ACL and will be out for the next 10 months. Carlos Condit will step in against Nick Diaz for the "interim welterweight title." Diaz was originally suppose to fight GSP a couple months ago, but was booted from the bout due to not making mandatory press conferences. Carlos Condit then took his spot, but that fight was also canceled due to a knee injury suffered by GSP. The two fighters have obviously been the number one contenders for the title for a while now. Let's just hope GSP can make it back to the octagon in decent form.
