ESPN Names 2 P.M. SportsCenter “TebowCenter” and Devotes the Full Hour to Tim Tebow

As I just started watching the ESPN show at 2 p.m. today, I heard the sports casters saying "TebowCenter."  I didn't know what to think of it so I had to look into it further and came up with this from the ESPN blog frontrow.  Apparently the whole show is devoted to the newly famous Tim Tebow.  Tebow has been dominating the NFL so far this year and has 5 fourth quarter comeback wins in his first 10 NFL starts.  They caught up with senior coordinating producer Michael Shiffman and asked him what "TebowCenter" actually means.  Here is what he had to say.

FR: What are some of the planned highlights of the Tebow hour?
MS:

Here are a few of the elements, but the list is ever-evolving:

Highlight treatment of Tebow 4th quarter/overtime comebacks. Reporter Josina Anderson live from Broncos facility.

Jerry Rice breakdown on Tebow’s development as a passer.

Steve Young on Tebow’s future and how the Broncos should handle Tebow.

Potential touchscreen segment either picking Broncos remaining schedule or picking pro bowl QBs.

Feature: “Winning the Tebow way,” by Ed Werder

Brandon Krisztal, Broncos Reporter, 104.3 The Fan in Denver on city’s Tebowmania

Skip Bayless debates Mark Schlereth on Tebow

SC Top 10 Tebow moments (will include college plays, “the promise” and Draft day in addition to NFL moments)

As we all know the past month we have seen Tebow videos and news dropping left and right.  Let me highlight a few.  Tebow Christmas light display, Bill Cosby thinks Tebow controls the weather,  Tebow makes debut cover of NFL the magazine, Tebow All I Do is Win parody song, Tebow tattoos everywhere, Tebow Jesus jerseys, and last but not least the Tebowing trend that took over the internet.  I could probably go on, but I don't have all year to do it.  I've always been a Tebow fan, but this is getting out of control.  A whole hour devoted to someone on Sports Center??  The only other person that gets that kind of treatment is LeBron when he tells the whole world which team he is gonna play for and lose 5-6-7 championships for because he can't make a jumper in the 4th quarter.

Basically what I'm saying is SportsCenter needs to get off his junk for a while. I'm still gonna pull for him on Sundays because I like his style, but even a long time fan can say enough is enough and it's time for a change.
