Brett Favre Would Listen to Bears if they Made a Call

We might have to wait until Brett Favre is at least 80 until we go a full season without hearing his name.  ESPN Chicago is reporting that Favre would listen to the Bears if they made him an offer.  The team has made no indications that they will offer him anything, but speculation never ends with the old veteran.  Sources close to Favre say that he has been working out and is in good shape.  The Bears are currently tied with the Lions for second place in the NFC North and tied with the Lions, and Atlanta for the wild card spots.  They did however suffer an injury to their number one offensive weapon in Matt Forte.  Forte is expected to miss 2-6 weeks with a knee injury.

Bears players such as Devin Hester already said signing a veteran such as Donovan McNabb would be a waste of time.  Would they bow down for Brett Favre though?  I hope not.  The man throws more interceptions than he does touchdowns these days, plus it's to late in the season to get him updated on the playbook.  The safe bet would be to stay with Caleb Hanie and see if he can improve on a terrible first game.
