Tiger Woods Shakes Steve Williams Hand, Plays Bad at Presidents Cup
We all know these guys have had their problems in the past. First with the firing of Steve by Tiger, then with Steve firing back with some harsh comments. They saw each other yesterday at the opening day of the Presidents Cup and this picture is worth a thousand words. Doesn't look like either one is happy with the other, so it left me wondering which one has the stronger handshake and which one left this scene with a crumbled up hand.
On a golf note Tiger suffered the worst loss for himself in any format of match play in the first day of the Presidents Cup. Adam Scott and K.J. Choi beat Woods and Steve Stricker 7 and 6, tying the record for biggest margin of victory in Presidents Cup history. Woods and Stricker who were undefeated two years ago turned out to be the weakest link for the Americans. They failed to win a hole or even make a birdie. The Americans have the lead 4-2 after the opening session.
We saw some hope last week as Woods finished in third place. Let's hope this was just a mental lapse after seeing his former caddy and that he gets back on track in time for a couple major wins next year.
