Penn State President to Resign or Be Voted Out By End of the Day

According to the Express Times Penn State president Graham Spanier will either resign or be voted out by the end of the day today.  An interim president will be named, most likely Executive Vice President and Provost Rodney A. Erickson.

Spanier has been in the middle of the sexual assault cases based on his knowledge of the situation.  It was said that in 2002 Spanier was informed by a graduate assistant coach that had seen former assistant coach Jerry Sandusky
allegedly sexually assault a young boy in a shower in the Penn State
locker room, according to grand jury testimony.  Spanier did not take this knowledge to the police.

Spanier has not been charged himself, but many around the community have been calling for his resignation in wake of the allegations.
