A few years back boxing promoter Bob Arum had a few bad words for the UFC, and MMA in general in an interview with Fanhouse. He said "MMA is garbage, a sport that does not take great talent, The guys can't throw a punch to save their ass, guys rolling around like homosexuals on the ground, UFC are a bunch of skin head white guys."
This video makes Arum look like the idiot that he is. I just backed up his statements a couple days ago about Floyd Mayweather, but that was mainly because I want to see him fight Pacquiao.
The UFC has it's first network television show when the main event of UFC 138 goes down on Saturday, November 12. They will air the heavyweight championship fight between champion Cain Velasquez and challenger Junior dos Santos live on FOX. Dana White being the bad-ass that he is decided this was a great time to rip Bob Arum a new one and show how ignorant his statements were. He starts by showing all the great fighters in the UFC, then moves into a bunch of crazy knockouts to prove Arum's statement wrong. Then he shows the versatility of the UFC and shows some great submissions. The funniest part is when he shows all the foreign and African American fighters in the UFC. Arum claimed that they are all "skin head white guys." Bro if you knew a damn thing about MMA it was created by Bruce Lee. The most well known fighter ever. The second most well known MMA name is the Gracie family who is known for creating Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. As far as I know neither one of these are "skin head white guys."
The more I see of Dana White the more I respect him. He doesn't back down from anyone and he believes in the product that he puts out. If I had to compare him to someone it would have to be Vince McMahon. Both of these dudes run their organizations like men and don't back up and inch for anything or anyone. The UFC is the fastest growing sport for a reason, and boxing only has one intriguing fight left that will probably never happen. Sorry Arum, your time is done.
