The NFL has announced that Nickelback will play the halftime show at the Detroit Lions’ Thanksgiving Day game. This comes after a petition was signed by over 50,000 fans to kick Nickelback out of that spot. Until yesterday the NFL had not confirmed that the band was booked. Here is what the pathetic excuse of singers had to say.
“We are honored to perform at the United Way halftime show on
Thanksgiving Day,” singer Chad Kroeger said in the release. “We always
love playing in Detroit. Our fans there have been tremendously
supportive of us through the years, and we can’t wait to come back and
celebrate an exciting day for the Lions and the city of Detroit."
They actually have fans in Detroit? Pathetic souls. I guess all we can do now is get the channel changer ready.
