After Penn State decided to cancel the press conference of Joe Paterno today we all started wondering. Could he really be more to blame than we think? I guess we will find that out in the weeks to come, but many people are already calling for him to be let go along with other members of the Penn State staff.
Matt Millen talked about the story on sports center today and couldn't hold himself together. Millen is a former Penn State football player with many ties in the community. He is a friend of Joe Paterno and talks about his relationship with Sandusky and how he has been a guest in his home.
I'm not sure if Millen has kids, but if these allegations are true about Sandusky I would be pretty emotional too. This guy played everyone for a fool and was a apparently a completely different person behind closed doors. Millen talks about wanting to take this into his own hands, but it's the wrong thing to do. He went on to say, "You have to put emotional feeling aside and let the case play out legally."
The crazy part is this could tarnish a legacy of the great Joe Paterno, who directly had nothing to do with this, but let it happen for many years. If that is the case, most people would argue that is as direct as it can get. Not reporting this is just as bad as doing it yourself.
