Brock Lesnar to be Analyst for UFC 138 Heavyweight Championship Fight on Fox

Dana White has announced that Brock Lesnar will serve as an analyst for the heavyweight championship fight at UFC 138 live on Fox. Heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez will face Junior dos Santos.  Lesnar was set to face Dos Santos after both fighters served as coaches on The Ultimate Fighter season 13.  Lesnar was forced to pull out of the fight due to his second bout with diverticulitis.

Brock will now fight UFC new comer and former Strikeforce heavyweight champion Alistair Overeem. Overeem is an MMA veteran with over fifty professional fights and one of the only heavyweights that can match Lesnar's size.  He hasn't suffered a loss in 11 fights.

Most fans either love or hate Lesnar.  But one thing you can't argue is people tune in to hear what he has to say.  He never lets us down with a dull moment.  He speaks anything that is on his mind and isn't afraid of the consequences.  Something tells me Dana White will have him on a short leash though.

Dana White also announced that in 2012 all of the preliminary fights will also start to air live on the Fox network.  For UFC 138, only the main event will be aired on Fox and the prelims will air on Facebook.  This will be good news for people that don't feel like dishing at 60 bucks for a pay per view.  With UFC growing at a huge pace, this will only open them to new markets and continue the growth of what is already one of the fastest growing sports in the world.
