Finally some students are realizing that this is bigger than just one man. A group of alumni are also raising money through RAINN to help the victim's of the case.
The other vigil is for Washington Nationals catcher Wilson Ramos. Ramos was kidnapped while visiting his home country of Venezuela. The vigil is being set up by Nationals fans at 6:00 tonight, November 11th, at the Centerfield Gate at Nationals Park.
The latest news on the kidnapping is good from Venezuela. Venezuelan authorities said Friday they are confident they can quickly solve the kidnapping.
Deputy Justice Minister Edwin Rojas said investigators are making
progress in gathering evidence and have physical descriptions of the
kidnappers based on the accounts of witnesses.
"We have faith in
the quick resolution of this case," Rojas told state television. He said
President Hugo Chavez's government "is working 24 hours a day to solve
this case."
