Cincinnati Xavier Fight Could End With Criminal Charges

In the wake of the Cincinnati vs. Xavier fight over the weekend both schools suspended multiple players.  The fight was pretty bad and resulted in one player being punched and kicked.  The scene was ugly, and wasn't necessary with only 10 seconds left in the game.  The players involved in the fight might not get away with just suspensions.  The Hamilton County’s prosecutors are reviewing the play to see if criminal charges should be filed.

Cincinnati - “My office will review the matter to determine whether any criminal
charges are appropriate,” Prosecutor Joe Deters noted in a Monday press
release. “We will have no further comment until a decision is reached.”

Fights happen nowadays more than ever.  Usually I agree with keeping it within the schools honor system, and letting them do what they think is right.  This incident was a little more serious though.  When a player goes down and gets kicked while on the ground it's a pretty bad situation.  Looking forward to hearing what they decide.
