An armed man who had robbed an LA Hotel was met with a rude awakening when two MMA fighters restrained him until the cops showed up. The robber pulled a gun on a hotel clerk and demanded the money from the register. On his way out he was met by two men getting off the elevator as the hotel clerk screamed ‘Gun! He robbed me!’
Brent Alvarez and Billy Denney were the two men getting off the elevator. Alvarez said he saw a flash of the gun before he dropped it in his bag with the money. They grabbed the armed suspect and took him to the ground. They kept him there in a guillotine choke hold until the cops showed.
The mma fighters said that the robber did not seem very aggressive,
but just like “someone who had run out of options.” Authorities arrested
the 31-year-old suspect who was carrying a loaded 9-millimeter handgun.
The suspect, Luis Rosales, has been booked on $101,250 bail.
The fighters were in town for the World Jiu-Jitsue No-Gi Championship in Long Beach. Let's hope they can take care of the other fighter's like they took care of this scum bag.
