Fred Jackson's Wife Didn't Draft Him Until the 5th Round in Her Fantasy Draft
Fred Jackson's wife decided at the beginning of the year her husband was only worth a 5th round pick in her fantasy draft. In a league with her friends and family she told them he was "off limits." She went on to draft Vick in the first round and even drafted Michael Turner a fellow running back before she grabbed her husband.
Buffalo News - "[I told her] I'm not going to continue to sit here if you're
skipping over me in these rounds. If you don't take me, I'm going to
call your brother and tell him to pick me up," Jackson said.
Needless to say, it's worked out so far.
"She told me she's happy she got me," he said. "She's in first place right now. I told her I want half of the winnings."
Mike Tuner??? That guy is pathetic. I had him on my team one year and it seemed like he ran into the offensive line and fell down for 1 yard every play. What a slap in the face to Fred. Granite he was going around the 5th or 6th rounds in most leagues this year.
Fred Jackson currently has the 3rd most points for running backs in my league (PPR) with 170.40. That ranks 12th overall. Not a bad value pick in the 5th round. Not gonna lie, I woulda pulled the same move. Why not get a couple top tier picks before you pick your husband when you know nobody else will pick him that high. That's why she is the best GM in the league so far. Just a slap in the face it had to be Turner. Hate that guy for some reason
