"I wanted to shove it up that black arsehole." - Steve Williams

Guardian  - "I wanted to shove it up that black arsehole."

Steve Williams attended the "caddie of the year" awards ceremony in Shanghai on Friday.  He was being honored for the "celebration of the year", an ironic
acknowledgement of his reaction in the aftermath of Adam Scott's
victory at the Bridgestone Invitational.  He called the victory the "greatest victory of my career".

He was asked why he had made such an obvious exaggeration given that he had caddied
Woods to 13 major championship wins, Williams said: "I wanted to shove
it up that black arsehole."

The ceremony was packed with many of the worlds leading golfer and caddies which all gasped when they heard the comment. "I have never seen so many jaws drop in one room at the same time," were the words of one caddie who attended the event.  Steve later went on his personal website and responded with an apology "I apologize for comments I made last night at the Annual Caddy Awards
dinner in Shanghai. Players and caddies look forward to this evening all
year and the spirit is always joking and fun. I now realize how my
comments could be construed as racist. However I assure you that was not
my intent. I sincerely apologize to Tiger and anyone else I have
offended."

Ummmm yea Steve, how else would we construe the comment.  It was racist as hell.  You called him a "black arsehole."  How much worse can you get.  We all know he screwed you over, but haven't we been through this already.  You already wined and complained to the media and got your revenge with a tour win.  If Adam Scott was smart he would fire you too. Psycho.
