Mike Krzyzewski Breaks Wins Record With 903rd

Coach K became Division I's all time winningest coach when No. 6 Duke beat Michigan State
74-69 on Tuesday night in the State Farm Champions Classic.  Duke gave their coach his 903rd winning moving him above his old coach Bob Knight.  Knight coached him at West Point where he was a point guard

"I just told Coach I love him," Krzyzewski said. "I wouldn't be in this
position without him. It's a moment shared. I know he's very proud, and
I'm very proud to have been somebody who's worked under him and studied
him and tried to be like him.

It was only fitting that Coach K get his victory against another legendary coach in Tom Izzo, and in the most well known basketball arena in the world, Madison Square Garden.  The stands were also packed with former Duke players including many NBA stars.  Duke took a twenty point lead with 9:17 to play and it was just a waiting game after that. Coach K could very well be the only coach to ever reach 1,000 wins if he sticks around another couple years.

Bob Knight celebrated the victory with an ice cold brewsky at his announcers table. (Probably just a coke but whose judging.)
