Lenny Dykstra Pulls out of Canseco Fight, Might Not Have Ever Been Scheduled

According to philly.com Lenny Dykstra may have never even been scheduled to fight Jose Canseco last night.  It was first reported that the main promoter Alki David had met with Dykstra on Thursday and paid him $5,000 in cash and that Dykstra would get $10,000 more after the fight.  It was said that Dykstra pulled out of the fight around 6 EST the night of the fight.  His former manager Dan Herman tried to contact Dyktra to which Dykstra hung up on him and later Herman would confirm that it was "all a lie."

"Fox 29 meterologist John Bolaris, a friend of Dykstra's for more than 15 years, tweeted days ago that Dykstra was never actually scheduled to fight."

The writer of the article then updated it with this quote.

"Just spoke
with a friend of Dykstra's who says that Lenny had never signed on to
fight Canseco and did not receive any money from the promoters."

Who the hell knows what to believe.  The only thing that I do believe is Dykstra is one messed up dude.  If he is pulling all this shit for $5,000 then he really has hit rock bottom.  We would like to believe if this match was never even scheduled to happen that either Canseco or Dykstra would have stepped up and said something.  My theory is that they both got paid out before the match and ran with the money.  Two of the most pathetic excuses of baseball players and people ever.
