Yahoo – When the Boston Celtics
climbed on the team bus in the bowels of American Airlines Arena late
in the regular season, the mood had been thick with anger and disgust
over finally losing to the Miami Heat.
Only now, several sources said, the Celitcs discovered a deeper,
knifing violation: Someone had snuck onto the bus and stolen cash and
belongings from the coaches’ and players’ bags.
“It was pretty bad,” a source told Yahoo! Sports. “A lot of stuff, a lot of money.
If it's not bad enough that the Celtics are getting owned by the Heat, they are now getting robbed too. I would have assumed that they would keep a security guard or at least the bus driver around to make sure something like this doesn't happen. This is just salt in the wound to a team that looks like they are old and slower than the Miami Heat. I'm guessing whoever got a five finger discount on some Celtics gear got away with a pretty solid amount of cash and memorabilia.
