Mark McGrath Fist Bump Denied by Chris Paul (Video)

The LA Clippers victory last night over Portland was followed by an epic fail by singer Mark McGrath.  He was in the front row and went in for a quick fist bump from Chris Paul after the game and was denied in epic fashion.  Not sure if Paul just didn't see the attempt or chose to ignore it, but I got a good laugh out of it either way. Seriously McGrath, that was the weakest attempt ever.  Strait limp wristed and didn't even stick his fist out.  No chance Paul was bumping you even if he saw it.  He wouldn't wanna get sued by you for breaking that feeble wrist.

Baylor Fan Isn't Aware His Team Got Crushed (Video)

Baylor got dominated by Kentucky all day long today and lost the game by 12, but this Baylor fan seemed to not be paying much attention to the scoreboard.  His dancing got him some camera time, but by the looks of his dancing skills he might not be able to show his face the rest of the school year.

Knicks Pull Off Double Alley Oop (Video)

It's not often you see a double alley oop dunk during a live NBA game, but the Knicks pulled it off last night.  J.R. Smith threw a pass to Iman Shumpert who tipped it back to J.R. Smith for the dunk.  Looked more like an all-star game play than a regular season play but I guess you can try something extra when you win a game 101-79.  Not much of a contest up in New York.

Quincy Acy Throws Down Huge Inbound Alley-Oop (Video)

Quincy Acy snagged the best play of the tournament so far when he threw down a huge inbound alley-oop dunk yesterday against Xavier.  Baylor went on to win the game by 5 and will face the number one overall seed Kentucky Wildcats on Sunday.  They will need Acy to have another big game to upset the Wildcats.  If I had to grade the dunk I'd probably give it an 8 out of 10.  What do you guys think?

Rex Ryan Gets Tebowed in Bar (Video)

Rex Ryan in Baton Rouge, LA LSU bar gets Tebowed for the very first time ever on the same day Tim Tebow is traded to the Jets. Rex better get use to this especially when Sanchez throws 6 picks his first two games.  Tebow will be the starter out there before you can blink your eyes, the only sad thing is they will have to pay Sanchez since they JUST SIGNED HIM TO AN EXTENSION.  Jets are becoming the laughing stock of the league.  The only teams that could afford to sign Tebow are teams with superstar quarterbacks or teams without any quarterbacks that would start him right away.  Any other team would be putting up with more controversy than they could even imagine.

Jets Acquire Tim Tebow From Broncos

ESPN - Unusually quiet in recent weeks, the New York Jets shattered the calm Wednesday by completing a trade for polarizing quarterback Tim Tebow.

The Jets sent two picks -- a fourth-rounder and sixth-rounder in 2012 -- to the Denver Broncos in exchange for a seventh-round selection.

Tebow, a former first-round pick, went on the trading block Monday when the Broncos secured free agent Peyton Manning, who signed a five-year, $96 million contract.

Several teams expressed interest, including Tebow's hometown Jacksonville Jaguars, but the Jets -- perceived as a sleeper at the outset -- pulled off the splashiest trade of the offseason.

Seriously probably the last team in the NFL i thought would pick up my man Tebow.  Jets fans have been booing Sanchez more and more every year and this is only going to give them more reason too.  The only thing that makes me happy about the trade is the fact that I think Tebow will get on the field in certain packages at first then end up taking that scrubs starting spot.  Anywhere else I think he would strait ride the pine and not have a chance to prove his worth.  I also can't wait till Rex Ryan uses the lords name in vain and makes Tebow cry in the locker room then tells him to man up.  Makes for a couple good story lines.

This is What Your Bracket Should Look Like If Your Really Really Lucky

So we're onto the Sweet 16 and this is how your bracket should look if your the luckiest man on earth.  Most of us had busted brackets by the end of the first day.  So my question is who do you got from here on out?  UNC took a huge injury to point guard Kendall Marshall which could hurt their chances at a title.  Florida and Kentucky both look like title contenders, but who really know right?  Anything can happen and it most likely will.  Who do you guys got winning it all???

Danilo Gallinari Had a Pretty Good Assist Over the Weekend (Video)

With all of the March Madness games over the weekend the best play still came from the NBA.  It was Danilo Gallinari who had what will surely be the assist of the year (if that award exists.)   He barely managed to stay in bounds then threw a behind the back pass directly at Kenneth Faried's chest for the easy lay in.  Video of the pass is below.

Here is Barack Obama's March Madness Bracket

Here is President Obama's NCAA March Madness bracket for 2012.  It's well known the President is a big sports fan and mainly a basketball fan.  He met with ESPN to fill out his bracket on television and ended up with Kentucky, Missouri, UNC, and Ohio State in the final four and UNC winning it all.  Not a huge surprise with the Tar Heels being one of the top overall seeds.  Think you can get a better score than the Pres?

Stephen Strasburg Now Has A Burger Named After Him

The Washington Nationals are finally getting their ace pitcher Stephen Strasburg back.  He was out last season after having Tommy John surgery.  The star Nationals player is being welcome back in a classy fassion by having a huge eight pound hamburger named after him.  Here is the read up from the Washington Post explaining the sensational burger.

Weighing eight pounds total (including toppings), the StrasBurger is a
monstrous all beef burger (combination of ground brisket, chuck and
short ribs). The burger is served on a large burger bun with our secret
sauce, American cheese, shredded lettuce, sliced tomatoes, sliced red
onions, pickle chips and served with a cone basket of fresh cut fries
and a pitcher of your choice of soft drink. This signature dish is the
perfect entrée to share at this affordably-priced family restaurant.

I can't say I think I would be able to finish it, but next time I head up to Washington to watch the Braves beat the National I'm sure as heck gonna try.

2012 March Madness Bracket

Here is your 2012 March Madness Bracket.  I'm going with my home town team VCU winning the whole thing.....haha, nope I'm actually going with the Tar Heels of North Carolina.  I know they lost the ACC championship to Florida State, but they didn't have John Henson and FSU is pretty solid this year.  Henson is suppose to be back for the tournament and possibly could have played today.  Who do you guys think will win?

Peyton Manning Meets With Elway and Denver Broncos (Video)

Manning has started making his rounds to test the free agent waters like we all knew he would.  He's already met with the Miami Dolphins and earlier today he met with the Denver Broncos and John Elway was in attendance.  Manning pulled up in a plane around 1:30 today along with John Elway, head coach John Fox, general manager Brian Xanders and
offensive coordinator Mike McCoy.

Clearly if the Broncos are going through all this trouble to get Manning to town they are going to offer him something in terms of a contract.  The question is how will this bode with the hardcore Tebow fans in Denver?  Tebow took the team to the playoffs and didn't even get a full season under his belt.  Tebow's following was huge to start last season and only grew bigger with his heavenly like performances.  Now don't get me wrong, I'm sure all the Tebow fans would quickly becoming Manning fans too, but I figured they would at least give him another couple years in the drivers seat after last season.  The Broncos would most likely have to move Tebow to another team, but they could pull a quick one on us and let him sit behind  Manning for 3-4 years and learn from the best.  Either way nothing is in stone yet, but it will be interesting to see how thing unfold down in Denver.

Dustin Johnson Hits Camera Man With Drive (Video)

Yesterday was the opening round of the Cadillac Championship on the PGA tour.  Dustin Johnson decided to finish his first round by hitting his drive on the 18th hole directly at the camera man.  The ball hits the camera tower about 280 yards away.  Probably not what he wanted, but we get to enjoy the ball coming at us in 3D in the video below.

Hedo Turkoglu Gets Technical Foul For Putting Hands on Ref (Video)

Hey bro, keep you hands to yourself.  Hedo Turkoglu didn't like the no foul call made by the ref in last nights game against the Chicago Bulls and ended up putting his hands on him after the play.  Turkoglu is not known for getting out of control and this situation didn't even look to bad itself, but everyone knows you can't touch a referee. A technical was well deserved.

Nick Young With Worst Layup Attempt in NBA History (Video)

The Washington Wizards did what nobody thought an 8-29 team could do, beat Kobe Bryant and the Lakers.  That wasn't the only highlight of the night though.  Nick Young gave us a good laugh with the worst layup attempt in NBA history.  He completely missed the rim and the backboard and threw the ball out of bounds.  Check it out for yourself in the video below.

Lionel Messi Scores 5 Goals vs. Bayer Leverkusen (Video)

Widely regarded as the best soccer player in the world, Lionel Messi proved it yesterday to say the least.  He dropped an incredible 5 goals against Bayer Leverkusen in Barcelona's 7-1 victory.  I'm not going to pretend I watch soccer more than once every four years, but I might have to start tuning in specifically for this guy.  He is the Tiger Woods of soccer.  If you don't even enjoy watching golf, you still watch it to see what Tiger Woods does.  Same with Messi in soccer.  Guy just gets the job done.

Dwyane Wade and LeBron James Make a Pitch for Peyton Manning

It didn't take long for the Miami Heat super stars to start making their pitch for Peyton Manning to come to their city to play ball.  Shortly after the press conference Dwyane Wade sent out the tweet above telling Manning to strap on the number 18 Dolphins jersey.  After the Heat game last night LeBron added his two cents saying “I’m just saying, Dolphins need a quarterback, and Peyton’s available,” “I gave my pitch, my one and only pitch. We’ll see what happens.” “I’m a Heat player and I want Miami sports to
be great: The U, the Dolphins, the Marlins, the Heat, of course."

Clearly the Miami area has been on top of their game the last few years when it comes to recruiting big time names in professional sports.  Reggie Bush, LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh, Brandon Marshall, and Jose Reyes.  Adding Manning and even possibly Reggie Wayne to the picture would just be ridiculous.  Miami is doing big things down there, no doubt about it.

Derrick Rose Hits Buzzer Beater vs. Bucks (Video)

Derrick Rose has done it again.  Last night the Bulls played the Bucks and it came down to the last second.  Obviously the Bulls put the basketball in the MVP's hands and let him go to work.  Rose didn't let them down and hit a game winner over Brandon Jennings at the buzzer.  The kid has been on fire ever since coming back from his back injury and is making a strong case to win the MVP again this year.

Manning No Longer A Colt

ESPN analyst Chris Mortensen has confirmed that Peyton Manning will no longer be an Indianapolis Colt. The announcement is expected to come tomorrow at a press conference in Indy.  The Colts had the option to pick up the last four years on Manning's contract and would've had to pay him a $28 million dollar bonus.  Manning plans on continuing to play so the question is now what team will he land with?  A few teams that have been talked about include the Washington Redskins, Cleveland Browns, and the Miami Dolphins.  My gut feeling is that he will end up in the capital which would be bad news.  The Skins are known for buying up old players and not getting much of anything out of them.  Hopefully Manning can break the curse in Washington if that happens.

Randy Moss Works Out for Saints

Randy Moss worked out for the New Orleans Saints today and according to one report "looked like the old Randy."  Randy would seem to fit in well with a team like the Saints as they like Drew Brees to let it fly and score a lot of touchdowns from outside the red zone.  Moss is clearly a great athlete and possibly could have benefited by taking a year off to let his body heal.  We all know Moss has never had a problem with being a great athlete,  it's always been what's going on in his head that's been the question.  Hopefully if he makes the comeback he does it with the right intentions.  With the Saints possibly losing draft picks over the "bounty scandal" they might have to rely more heavily on signing free agents than they initially thought.

VCU Wins CAA Championship (Video)

VCU beat Drexel in the CAA Championship last night and will dance again this year. I was at the game and it was a nail biter and couldn't be happier that the Rams came out on top. They snapped a huge 19 game win streak that Drexel had and hopefully they can make another run to the final four or further.  The team is young, but the play hard and they can shoot the three as well as they did last year.  Obviously this was a huge win for the Rams and the fans let it be known by charging the court after the game.  Check out the video below.

Tiger Woods Shoots 62 on Final Day at Honda Classic (Video)

The tournament was Rory MclLroy's from the beginning, but on the final day Tiger Woods surprised us all with a round of 62 and a second place finish.  He hit a "Tiger Like" second shot on the 18th hole to set up a 5 foot eagle put to finish his round 8 under par.  After seeing that shot we have some hope that he'll get back to the old Tiger that we all like to watch.  Rory is going to be hard to beat, but if anyone can do it it's El Tigre.

How Disturbing is This Picture Where LeBron James is Carrying a Man Purse, Wearing Skinny Jeans, and Rocking Emo Glasses?

Seriously on a scale of 1-10 this is a 12 on a disturbed scale.  Most likely I'm having nightmares tonight.  Dude might have the worst style in the NBA and maybe even all of pro sports.  Like bro you got money, spend it on some jeans that fit and a real bag like a man.  Don't even wanna get into D Wade's under armor shirt with white golf pants.

Dwight Howard Does The Cookie Challenge (Video)

So the cookie challenge has been around for a while now and I guess it's finally making it's way into the pro athlete world.  Dwight Howard took on the cookie challenge and completed it in three tries.  The objective is to get the cookie from your forehead to your mouth without using your hands.  Check his great accomplishment out in the video below.

If You Fall Asleep on the LA Clippers Team Plane, You Will Get Photo Bombed

The Los Angeles Times busted out this video recently in which the Las Angeles Clippers are seen photo bombing passed out teammates on the team plane.  This is apparently a new team tradition initiated by DeAndre Jordan and Reggie
Evans called “Got ‘Em.”  Obviously this is just a twist on the classic photo bomb.  The only difference is the Clippers tweet the pictures out for the whole world to see.  Not a bad way to pass the time on a long flight.

A.J. Burnett Fouls Ball Off Face, Will Have Surgery (Video)

The newest member of the Pittsburgh Pirates A.J. Burnett didn't have the best time ever during his first bunting practice.  He fouled a ball off his face Wednesday and fractured his right orbital bone.  Burnett flew to Pittsburgh late Wednesday night to be further evaluated and will undergo surgery on Friday.  The word is it will be anywhere from 1 to 3 weeks for his return.

Burnett needed a change as he struggled during his final two seasons in New York, posting a
21-26 record with a 5.20 ERA. He led the major leagues with 25 wild
pitches in 2011 while allowing a career-high 31 homers.  When I say he needed a change, it probably wasn't a change to his face that he had in mind.

Is That Rip Hamilton or Kobe Bryant?

Thanks to Dwayne Wades hard foul in the All-Star game this past weekend Kobe Bryant is walking around like my man Rip Hamilton.  Clearly he'll eventually take the mask off, but it could be something to keep around for next Halloween.  Just throw on a Bulls jersey and be the Ripper for Halloween.

Wind Causes Goalie to Score Goal in Own Net (Video)

Meet Maccabi Haifa goalie Assaf Mendes.  He was playing in a friendly match against Dynamo Kiez on Wednesday and something crazy happened.  The wind was so powerful that when Mendes kicked the ball out of the goalie box the ball came back at him like a boomerang and went in his own goal.  Not a good way to beef up your stat sheet bro.  Better luck next time.
