Floyd Mayweather to Fight Victor Ortiz After 16-Month Layoff

ESPN - Floyd Mayweather Jr., a former five-division champion and one of the
top pound-for-pound stars of the era, will end a 16-month layoff when he
challenges welterweight titlist Victor Ortiz on Sept. 17.

"My
fans have been waiting long enough. Floyd Mayweather vs. Victor Ortiz.
Sept 17, 2011 for the WBC world championship," Mayweather tweeted
Tuesday afternoon.

Is that one of the 115 boxing championships they are fight for?  Floyd, get over yourself dude.  This fight better just be a warm-up for Pacquiao, but I doubt it is.  Nobody cares how many scrubs Floyd and Pacquiao fight over the next five years or how many they have fought over the past five years.  Everyone knows the only good fight left in boxing is Pacquiao vs. Mayweather.

Floyd is losing so much respect for ducking this fight and doesn't seem to care.  For someone that talks about being the best as much as he does you would figure he would want to beat the best.  I have a feeling the fight will finally come when they are out of their primes and will be a huge bust.
