LeBron James Backs Up Tim Tebow
ESPN - Opinion on Tim Tebow’s NFL future is clearly divided, but count
LeBron James among the many fans of the former Heisman Trophy-winning
quarterback. James took to Twitter on Wednesday, supporting Tebow and
proclaiming, “Tim Tebow will succeed in the NFL. He’s a hard worker, a
student of the game, a natural born leader and most of all a WINNER! It
takes time and he’ll be nice.” James’ tweets were in response to
comments from ESPN NFL analyst Merril Hoge’s criticism of Tebow earlier
Wednesday on Twitter and “SportsCenter.” James, the Miami Heat star who
has dealt with his own share of media criticism, then used Twitter to
back Tebow late Wednesday night. “Listened to Merril Hoge today on SC
and he was just blasting Tebow. The man hasn’t even play a full season
and its only his 2nd year in,” James wrote. “Guys get on that TV and act
like they was all WORLD when they played. How bout encouraging him and
wishing him the best instead of hating!!
As much as I hate LeBron and think he deserves being hated on I do like some Tim Tebow. The NFL is way different than the NBA. It takes more work to transform your game to the NFL style and learn the playbook. Nobody expected Tebow to come in a dominate right away. Most knowledgeable people realized it would take a couple years. He will still get in this year on some goal line plays and do what he does best. As for hating on him I don't think Merril was hating, more so observing how far he has come as a NFL QB, which isn't very far as of now. So I can still tell LeBron to shut the hell up and win something before he talks.
